Emporia Convention and Visitors Bureau

Emporia is a small city with a big heart nestled in the beautiful Kansas Flint Hills. We want to share with you all the things that make our corner of the world special. In our 155-year history, Emporia has created a national holiday, produced a world famous author, and built two national sporting events from the ground up.

As home of the Teacher’s College at Emporia State University, we have generated legions of educators since the 1860s, and we celebrate them with our National Teacher’s Hall of Fame.

Our dedicated citizens have taken on projects from restoring our historic Granada Theatre to maintaining our beautiful zoo.

On top of that, we are home to many artists, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs who make products right here in Emporia and the Flint Hills. Welcome to our City!
